On 16 August 2024, Gabriel uploaded a video to one of his social media accounts announcing his conversion to Mormonism. In the video, he is in a visibly good mood (for once), and it can be assumed that this change towards religious faithfulness has given him a sense of purpose in life (which he regularly lacks).
Why converting to Mormonism makes Gabriel a heretic
The majority of the Christian world views Mormonism as heresy. The catholic church rejects Mormonism because it rejects the Holy Trinity, instead believing in the Godhead[1]. Some protestant denominations (like the United Methodist Church, the Presbyterian Church USA, and the Southern Baptist Convention) have also rejected Mormonism as heresy[2], as it adds on unnecessary additional fanfiction-like scriptures to the Bible and believes in salvation through good works, instead of faith alone.
Just like when he declared himself alt-right, Gabriel has now dove head-first into a cultish and esoteric sect of Christianity without fully understanding what it is.
