Mental Health (or, as our friend Nova likes to call it, “MH”), is a status of well-being mentally. Nova uses this as a “pity me” card a lot and regularly threatens the following:
- Calling the Trevor project
- Self Harming
- Calling 988 (rarely, as he calls the Trevor project more often)
- Suicide
While yes, he does use mental health as an excuse a lot, it is also important to note that he is going through mental health struggles, but he greatly exaggerates a lot of the time.
Advocacy
Nova has stated that he advocates for mental health awareness.
Suicidal Ideation
Nova has, numerously, ideated (apparently, according to him) about suicide multiple times, while it is disingenuous to immediately assume that Nova is lying, most of his suicide threats can be mainly disregarded given that he simply wants trolls/critics to get off his back. Said suicidal ideation can take the form of him threatening to post the “goodbye video”, which is a video that nova made to go over his 13 reasons why reasons for suicide.
