Gabriel has been known to be an activist for LGBTQ+ rights, amongst other things. However, Nova has shown to support and/or use products from people with less than upstanding reputations for making comments against LGBTQ+ people and/or being homophobic/racist.
Examples of Gabriel being a Performative Activist
- Gabriel supporting LGBTQ+ rights while also…
- Supporting J.K Rowling (A known transphobe) by buying multiple products from her along with buying hogwarts legacy and quiddich champions, which use the Harry Potter property that Rowling owns.
- Using KICK, a streaming service, is infested by controversial streamers that are known homophobes and racists.
While it is known that Gabriel has said that he doesn't support anyone like trainwreckstv or J.K Rowling, it is still noted that Gabriel could have found alternatives or not have directly supported those people.[1] It is noted that Gabriel likely states that he does not support the two only to keep up the facade that he is an activist. When really it's more likely that he is doing this for his own social gain, and to make himself look better.
