Gabriel, like most things in his life, has a strained and skewered view on the law and what it can do. Ultimately, to Gabriel, the law and it's enforcement isn't something that restrains individuals from committing wrong and correcting morally bad behavior. Instead, it's an apparatus that he can abuse and utilize to his own gain, either to get trolls off his back or to silence those who dare criticize him in all of his "perfection".

Understanding of the law

While Gabriel has not had any altercations in the law (e.g., arrests or criminal charges), he has a warped understanding of it. While he presumably has a basic understanding of morality and how it relates to how society regulates behavior, he simultaneously believes that he can utilize law enforcement and the judiciary for his own personal gain.

This is where his legal threats against trolls and this very wiki comes in. He believes that anyone, even normal people simply bringing light to his misdeeds or talking about the skeletons in his closet is defamation. While defamation's exact definition is still debated by legal scholars and on-the-bar lawyers, the United States Criminal Code defines it as "[...] any action or other proceeding for defamation, libel, slander, or similar claim alleging that forms of speech are false, have caused damage to reputation or emotional distress, have presented any person in a false light, or have resulted in criticism, dishonor, or condemnation of any person."[1]; in simpler terms, defamation is intentionally and publicly telling a lie about someone to tarnish their reputation.

In short, the Nova Online Wiki is not a tool to defame him. Instead, this is an encyclopedia meant to document him, others related to him, and all of his actions and incidents.

However, to Gabriel, any documentation and discussion of what he's done in the past and present are the Judas to his Jesus, and are tarnishing his well-earned (in)fame(y).
