Gabriel and religion
At first glance, Gabriel does not come off as a particularly religious man. In the many videos he's uploaded in the past and present which featured him in his house, no religious paraphernalia is to be seen. While he was once in a church group, stating as such in some of his energy drink reviews, it is unknown if Gabriel regularly attends Sunday mass, or even prays before meals or going to sleep. Despite his new-found religiousness, he regularly partakes in indulgences related to the fabled seven deadly sins. While not explicitly mentioned in the bible, the characteristics of lust, envy, gluttony, sloth, greed, wrath and pride were and still are important to Christian doctrine.
Understanding of religion
Gabriel was likely raised a Christian in early childhood, as a majority of the United States' population follows some form of Christianity with varying degrees of spirituality. Prior to August 2024, it was apparent that Gabriel was likely nonreligious or atheist.
In a 16 August 2024 video, Gabriel stated that he was converting to Mormonism, an esoteric and cultish sect of Christianity which most of the Christian world views as heretical, as it rejects the Holy Trinity in favor of the Godhead[1]. In the video, he alleges that a troll sent Mormon missionaries to his house (which is debatable, as Mormon missionaries are infamous for for their wide-spread proselytism missions). Stating that he "[...] never felt this close to God [...]" in his life, it can be reasoned that Gabriel has finally harnessed some purpose in his life, which as a socially ostracized lolcow, he lacks.

Gabriel begins recording. Some soothing stock piano music is playing in the background. The camera noticeably shakes when he takes a step back. His house is also visibly cluttered and unkempt, as is his hair and choice in outfit. He claps his hands as he begins speaking.
Gabriel: Hey all. It's [unintelligible gibberish; likely Nova-something].
So...I just had a meeting with some missionaries that trolls have just sent to my house, and this is a message to that troll. I just wanna say...whatever your plan was for sending them, it ended up backfiring horribly. Because after the meeting I had with them, learning more about the scriptures, I have not felt-...I have not felt this close to God as I am feeling right now. Like...like this is the closest to God I've felt in my entire life. They shared scriptures from the Bible and from the Book of Mormon, and...
Gabriel walks off camera to retrieve his copy of the Book of Mormon. The camera noticeably shakes again as he does, and while he's off-frame it gives us an excellent view of his dirty and cluttered living space.
Gabriel: They even gave me a copy of the Book of Mormon! And here's what I'm going too, um...I feel like, I should make a change in my videos from now on. I still have 70+ drafts, for y'all to look at. But...from then on, from whe-...when I post drafts on there, basically, they're gonna have a lot more swearing and everything. But...now...whenever I make these new drafts...I'm going to try not to swear, so, um...I feel like I should definitely...make a change more. As I'm saying, I'm gonna be trying not to swear as much in these videos, and if I do it'll most likely be a slip-up. And...I feel like this is definitely another opportunity to make more, um...mental health advocation videos for...support. Because if there's...if there's ever a reason that...you need support, don't feel ashamed to look for it. Anyways...I'm done babbling [chuckles], just expect a change in the videos like, um...just expect a change in videos, um...in the foreseeable future. Um...I'm going to try and BREATHE[2] through all my drafts...[claps the back of his right hand against the palm of his left hand], so you guys can see this change sooner than later. NovineUniverse, signing off.
Video ends.
